It's the last day of the Think Christmas blog hop
and the Christmas train has just stopped here....
thank you for stopping to visit.
for all their hard work for organizing and scheduling another great blog hop!!
You ladies are the best!!
I have three blocks to share with you.
...my first block is a Lynette Anderson Designs pattern called Wonky Santa Quilt.
I used Lynette Anderson's Scandinavian Christmas fabric.
It is a 10.5 inch wonky log cabin block.
The Santa's beard and mustache is wool, the tree is embroidered.
Santa is machine appliqued onto a 6.5 inch square.
Santa has wool buttons and a mini yo yo on his hat.
Santa has wool buttons and a mini yo yo on his hat.
The tree top will have a wonky wooden star after the quilt is quilted.
1 block finished and just 8 more to make....
I made the quilt in 2011 and I am going to make another one...
as I still have enough of the same fabrics.
I will be making a wall hanging size with 9 blocks, not the 20 and a pillow to match.
...my second block is a Bird Brain Design stitchery block
...called Holiday Stitchery.
the blocks is 12.5 inches
I added a 2.5 inch green border to make a 16" x 16" pillow.
I used homespun fabrics on tea dyed muslin and stitched with
Valdani variegated Perle Cotton
The woodsy Santa door stop I make 15 or more years ago and
the sweet snowlady is from Karen in Australia...the best blogging buddy!!

Pauline- Your blocks are great and since I am into embroidery, I particularly love the embroidered ones. Where did you get that cute hangar with the two trees and the building(as church?)? I have a small Christmas quilt that i made when I was teaching with the help of my students, but for the life of me I can't remember anymore about it! That's because it's been in my attic as we haven't decorated since my mother died at Christmas. Maybe this will be the year we get out the decorations and resume displaying them. Thanks for the opportunity to win .

Two were King size quilts for my children and the third was for my first granddaughter, that one was a minuature of her mothers. Oh my that has been over 10 years ago. I have the material for my quilt but it is still packed away along with the pattern that I want to use. I guess you could say all the quilts that I have made are winter quilts (heavy) the way my Grandmother had taught me to make them. Oh I love your Wonky Santa quilt! I love to collect different Santas. Your embroidery is beautiful. I'm embroidering a winter quilt now. It has snowmen and birds on it. My goal is this Christmas but for sure by next, it will be done. I'm living in California but I call Alaska home as that's where I grew up. I don't really have a special holiday food. When I was growing up my Dad and Mom would make fruit cake. It was the best!
